Mini Home Tour

One thing I absolutely love in my home is color and comfort. It has taken me over two years to realize what I love and what works. I love DIY decorations pieces, and I like my home to be original. I have a "bachelorette pad" that I can decorate however I like. My old roommate can confirm that I love changing things around, but I've finally got everything laid out nice.

This is my kitchen overview. I love that it's colorful and clean. Luckily, I have plenty of cabinet and counter space, and cooking in this room feels so nice. You can actually still see where the original owners painted and wrote I love you on the wall in paint if you look at it the right angle.

I do change the decor throughout the year, and one of my favorite places to find unique pieces is World Market. This elephant cookie jar from there is my favorite! Most of the other decor came from the dollar general near my home. They have some cute stuff!!!

My favorite room in the house is my living room. I had to recruit a couple of man friends to help set up the book shelves. It's not as easy as it looks! The tv stand use to be black, then green, and now white. It just kind of fell into place. The cabinet on the left came from an estate sale and it matches my kitchen table. Of course I love to read and watch netflix so this room is my happy place.

This is a handmade coffee table that I bought from an antique store in Algood, Tennessee. It is an old window that opens on top. I keep quilts, old records, and magazines in it. It was handmade by the owners, and I absolutely LOVE it! Of course you can't forget the candles.

I also love to add a touch of fall, and fun pieces to my tv stand and book shelves! Also, one of my favorite pictures of my nephew when he was little.

Since my roommate moved out I had to redo the spare room, and I found this amazing tapestry at Society 6. They have hundreds to choose from, and the size is perfect. I added a few plants and called it a day.
I hope you guys loved my mini home tour, and I hope you share some decor of your own for inspiration. I always wanted a home, not just a house.
